We have been appointed by Merit Healthcare to supply and install two 1400KVA generators for a new £66m bioscience laboratory being built in Stevenage for Autolus Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing cancer treatment therapies.

The new 7,500 sqm facility, which is expected to open by April 2023, is the UK’s first CAR-T cell manufacturing facility. It will feature canopied generators sets installed to synchronise via ComAp controls, providing resilient standby power for the entire facility.

We'll also supply a 10,000Ltr bulk fuel tank and associated pipework which will provide an automatic fuel filling system to enable the system to run for 24 hours.

The building will form part of the cell and gene therapy cluster in Stevenage, which is the third-largest in the world and known as the Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst.
