About the project
Scottish Borders Council covers the most southeasterly corner of Scotland and is bordered by the City of Edinburgh, Dumfries and Galloway, East Lothian, South Lanarkshire, and by the English counties of Cumbria and Northumberland.
As with all local authorities, Scottish Borders Council owns and manages a considerable portfolio of public buildings, each requiring a reliable programme of on-going maintenance. Following a successful bid, DTG was appointed to supply all maintenance and repair work for its fleet of standby power generators.

Application
Our dedicated servicing team conducts a pre-planned monthly service on all of the council-owned generators. Located throughout the council region, in a variety of public buildings including the council headquarters, town halls, community hospitals, residential homes and leisure facilities, the generator portfolio includes an assortment of equipment of various ages and specifications, and from an array of different manufacturers.
Regular maintenance and inspections not only improve generator efficiency but also allows any minor problems to be detected and corrected before becoming a major issue that could prevent the generator from operating as it should during an emergency.
