Aftersales Business Development Representative

Location

England (Midlands preferable)

This role is to drive the growth of aftermarket sales, specifically new contracts/accounts but also to promote our other aftermarket offerings whenever the opportunity exists. This will include customer management, business development and customer visits. It is envisaged that in time this role will be 50% field based in front of customers.

Sales

  • Identify aftermarket opportunities and deliver business returns
  • Achieve or exceed the business’s annual and three strategic plan targets for aftermarket sales
  • Review historical records to explore opportunities for growth
  • Act as aftermarket key account manager as directed
  • Assist in the delivery of aftermarket campaigns

Analysis and Reporting

  • Gather aftersales business data and report on aftermarket sales performance, weekly monthly, yearly. Capture lead generation/quotes/lead conversion/win/loss analysis
  • Ensuring all processes where appropriate are managed via Tesseract and BMS

Collaboration - Continuous

  • Collaborate with other business departments to ensure we are optimising the overall DTGen customer solution
  • Continually look for improved, more efficient ways of doing business
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business
  • Observe and demonstrate behaviours in line with the core values of the company

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a commercially focused role, selling service contracts and solutions within a technical industry, diesel generation preferred
  • Proven track record in business development
  • Evidence of ability to help define and drive business step change

You will have:

  • First-class customer-facing skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • MS Office skilled particularly in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Relevant experience in a similar role

Generator Field Service Engineer

Location

Midlands/Northern England

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for home based experienced diesel generator service engineers.

Role Description:
Based remotely, you will be required to carry out planned servicing, repair, upgrades and breakdown response work at customer sites on generators from 10kVA – 2500kVA.

Primary Tasks:
- Maintenance on generators to include all relevant electrical and mechanical testing
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
- Installation of temporary generators
- Load bank towing and testing
- Participation in the company on call rota
- Complete and submit accurate reports in a timely manner
- Assisting with installations and commissioning
- Site surveys to assist project sales
- Control system wiring

Qualifications:
- Served a recognised apprenticeship as a mechanical/electrical engineer
- Electrical engineering IEE regs - 17th Edition (beneficial)
- Part P (beneficial)
- The ideal candidate will an experienced generator field service engineer with past exposure to FG Wilson, Perkins or similar brands

You will have:
- Strong knowledge of all electrical and mechanical aspects of generator power installations
- First class customer facing skills
- Good communication skills
- No criminal record
- Flexibility to meet requirements of service operations.
- Relevant experience in a similar role

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for an experienced diesel generator service engineer. Preferably electrically biased, this role will suit someone with more than five years of standby diesel generator experience in critical locations such as hospitals, data centres.

Role Description:
You will be required to carry out planned servicing, repair, upgrades and breakdown response work at customer sites on generators from 10kVA – 2500kVA.

- Maintenance on generators to include all relevant electrical and mechanical testing

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced, passionate and driven project manager to join our thriving Projects department. 

The right candidate will:

  • Have accountability for a portfolio of a range of clients and will work with the whole team to ensure that projects are planned efficiently and effectively 
  • Work with our project engineering and support teams to ensure the correct solutions are accurately planned 
  • Overcome issues and obstacles, using previous experience to assist decision making
  • Procure items, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed  
  • Have onsite presence to ensure any issues are resolved immediately 
  • Attend project team meetings to update on your portfolio of projects and where required attend hand over sessions from Project sales to have a complete understanding of your projects 
  • Be able to step in where required on-site to effectively resolve engineering issues  

Requirements: 

  • At least five years’ experience in overseeing critical power installations across a broad range of power ratings including multi-MW installations
  • At least five years’ experience working with reciprocating engine generator systems 
  • Control panel exposure on digital control modules such as Deep Sea, ComAP, or related power generation controls / PLC systems
  • Ideally, you will be qualified at apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND or City & Guilds level in an engineering discipline. 
  • Project management qualification and SMSTS 
  • Construction and utilities experience preferrable
