Job Purpose

Job Title

Senior Accounts Assistant

Location

Glasgow

Job Purpose

Working within a team in a role that is varied and demanding. There will be dealings with all levels of staff so excellent communication skills are essential.

Key responsibilities and duties include

  • Preparing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation, as part of the management accounts close process
  • Assist with project review process, including cost reporting and maintaining project review documents
  • Assist with recording and paying supplier invoices
  • Reconcile supplier invoices with their statements
  • Assist with recording, reconciling, and paying staff expense claims
  • Assist with review and recording timesheets to enable timely submission to payroll, and job costing
  • Monitor the accounts' emails and deal with queries
  • Maintain pre-prepayment schedule, adjusting the entries and correcting any invoices posted to incorrect nominals
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance/accounts projects and duties
  • Provide cover for other day to day accounting functions when other team members are out of the office

Requirements

  • Strong accounts experience
  • High level of numeracy
  • Strong technical skills, specifically Excel
  • Previous purchase and sales ledger experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload whilst working to strict deadlines
  • Competent using finance systems (preferably Sage 50)

Generator Field Service Engineer

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for experienced diesel generator service engineers.

Role Description:
You will be required to carry out planned servicing, repair, upgrades and breakdown response work at customer sites on generators from 10kVA – 2500kVA.

Senior Field Service Engineer opportunity available depending on experience.

Primary Tasks:
- Maintenance on generators to include all relevant electrical and mechanical testing
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
- Installation of temporary generators
- Participation in the company on-call rota
- Complete and submit accurate reports in a timely manner
- Assisting with installations and commissioning
- Site surveys to assist project sales
- Control system wiring

Qualifications:
- Served a recognised apprenticeship as a mechanical/electrical engineer
- Electrical engineering IEE regs - 17th Edition (beneficial)
- The ideal candidate will an experienced generator field service engineer with past exposure to FG Wilson, Perkins or similar 

You will have:
- Strong knowledge of all electrical and mechanical aspects of generator power installations
- First-class customer-facing skills
- Good communication skills
- No criminal record
- Flexibility to meet requirements of service operations.
- Relevant experience in a similar role
