DTGen opens Training Academy

We have opened a new training facility onsite at our Glasgow HQ. ‘The Training Academy’ offers an enhanced resource for staff as well as external clients requiring specialist training.

David McDougall, Head of Training and Development at DTGen, said: “As a business, we invest heavily in training, from entry-level apprentices right through to senior management and leadership teams. As well as the standard mandatory training expected within our business, we have created individual training pathways as well as a learning hub to ensure our staff share knowledge, experience and expertise across the business - helping create a stronger team for the future.”

The Training Academy provides a dedicated space for desk-based theoretical sessions as well as being kitted out with equipment for practical training, and there is a suite of PCs for those participating in online learning.
In addition, DTGen is opening a well-equipped practical training and assessment area. This will further support training requirements for both staff and external clients attending for training.

Paul Moore, Managing Director at DTGen, added: “The business is expanding, and we need staff with greater skillsets across the business. We are growing our capability to include gas generators and system upgrades as well more large-scale engine work. We will continue to invest in both in-house training as well as external technical and product training through our equipment manufacturers, such as FG Wilson, Pramac-Generac, Deep Sea Electronics and ComAp, to ensure we are well equipped to deliver our generators to sites and then maintain them for life.”
