We have installed a back-up power solution for the Institute of Cancer Research’s (ICR) new state of the art centre for cancer drug discovery in London.

The ICR is one of the world’s most influential cancer research organisations and undertakes world-class research designed to improve outcomes for people with cancer. This new £75m facility will create more and better drugs for cancer patients.  

DTGen supplied and installed a 1250kVA single parallel to mains open generator set with attenuation in a plant room. The fuel system is supplied from a day tank fed by a bulk underground fuel tank with the generator exhaust silencer flue extended 35 metres to suit Architect’s requirements.

With this new facility, the ICR aims to make a historic step-change in cancer treatment, to develop a new generation of drugs that will make a difference to the lives of millions of people with cancer.
